Below, you can find a short description of the project’s partners and links to their websites.
LIFE is the EU’s financial instrument supporting environmental and nature conservation projects throughout the EU.
Laboratory of Applied Thermodynamics (LAT)
LAT was founded in 1974 and belongs to the Energy Division of the Mechanical Engineering Department, in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The main focus of LAT activities is on applied as well as basic research regarding energy and environmental appraisal of internal combustion engines and thermodynamic analysis of applied thermo chemical devices (particle traps, catalysts, fluidized bed reactors etc).
Laboratory of Chemical Process and Plant Design (LCPPD)
LCPPD belongs to the Chemical Engineering Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. LCPPD carries out fundamental and applied research in cooperation with several public and private organisations in the field of renewable energy production, with emphasis in biomass and waste exploitation by using innovative technologies of fast and slow pyrolysis, high temperature fixed and fluidized bed gasification. Its mission is to stimulate and promote industrial innovation that meets the specific technological needs of the Greek and European bio-energy companies.
